For me to be able debug this I'm going to need some info:
- Once the Delorme goes from No Fix to Fix does the latitude and longitude start changing again?
- Does the status bar give any indication to it failing to log?
- Does the "last position log" update?
I don't even have a clue as to what would be causing this unless the latitude and longitude stop updating completely. If I can't get it from this info someone is going to have to buy me a Delorme.
I run the Delorme with their serial driver feeding GPSS and Map Monkey (MM). After no fix to fix, both GPSS & MM pick right up where they left off: lat, long, speed, and distance. GPS status says connected. Fix is green with 4 bars. Satellites on globe are updated. The only thing stopped is the GPSS logging.
Status bar hasn't changed: "Position information logged". Nothing I do changes it. Fix/nofix/fix doesn't change it, unplugging GPS doesn't change it, closing serial splitter doesn't change it.
Yesterday's logs were unuseable on the server (first time that's happened), but the good news is based on the server log time window the entire file is there. (Another big file)
Tried something new today: switched serial splitter virtual com ports to 2,3, and4. Set GPSS on com2 and based on 15 min sitting still, GPSS resumes logging after losing fix and after GPS is disconnected and reconnected. GPSS fix/strength bars gets weird after a while after it loses fix the first time - serial splitter shows 3D DGPS unchanged throughout, but GPSS cycles between nofix/fix then logs position. Strange. Will leave it on com2 and monitor more today.
