Can you make it so once it automatically boots the user must click on the icon and enter a user defined password in order to deactivate and enter the program? To make it easier for those without a keyboard maybe you can have an onscreen keyboard pop up.
Also, you might be able to hook up to this program http://www.jdmcox.com/ to access the msterra server and automatically save maps.

The server is going to be down today (it wouldn't work if it was up with the older Clients anyways because I have made a few big changes) and so once I release the next version later today I'll let you know.
The next release should contain all of the feature requests above this post, MapMonkey plugin support, all reported bug fixes, and a few cosmetic additions.

I am in Toronto right now, and I'll pick back up working with this as soon as I get back to the US, and get my car back from the shop. (my damn cruise control quit working, and they were hinting at me like it was from the carputer and not a warrenty repair. So I'm preparing for a little battle if they try to tell me that I did somehting to cause it to quit working. Hopefully not though) So yeah, hopefully on Thursday you'll start hearing from me about this again.

No problem. The server has been down this weekend anyways. Probably won't be back up till Monday or Tuesday. I have everything I mentioned above working except I can't test out MapMonkey anymore (the dang thing can't connect to my GPS anymore, even though all of the other GPS programs I have can connect to it just fine). I am going to add in distance information and so that is why it won't be back up till Tuesday (I have a school project I have to do all Monday).
EDIT: Just got MapMonkey working again. GPSSecure integrates with it perfectly.

With the map monkey intigration, Will I still need to use xPort to split the signal form the reciever??? Or will this take care of that. Cuz xport was working great, then it just quit working, and i haven't been able to get it back running since. I've just been only using this app.

If you have MapMonkey you won't need xport as GPSSecure will grab the GPS data from MapMonkey.

I'm still working on the next beta version. I have everything done except I am adding in distance information into the database. It gets kind of hairy with conversions and such but I just haven't had a lot of time (lot's of school and work). I have MapMonkey working except I am trying to get some additional information from it. As soon as I have everything completely done for the beta I'll let you know.

I just finished the second beta version. Check the main thread for more information. The MapMonkey plugin support is a bit limited compared to just using the direct GPS connect but all of the essentials are there. The other features should be added in with the next version of MapMonkey. For those that were interested I'm going to PM the information in a bit.
