switch controller?

I remember back in school, we were using printer ports to control several things, I think we were using turing or some language, I was wondering, if anyone has made a program to control external things, I know the LPT1 port or w/e uses a +5 volts, so relays will be needed for most accessories, but I have a few things I want to control

My car has a m62 Clutched supercharger (on/off switch to turn the supercharger on and off)

I wouldn’t mind having individual amp control ( on/off for remote leads)

Power inverter (not for carputer)

Nitrous activation, nitrous bottle heater, nitrous remote bottle opener, each circuit uses a standard on/off switch, my purge and shot, is momentary switched on the wheel.

I was wondering if anyone has done anything like this, that was integrated into a front end?

aahhaha search kills me
