Here is what I did

I know which sensor kit I need (I think)...so what's left?
Dejan makes a printed board with the parts? Or all parts minus the PIC? I need to get that from Robby? Is it programmed? Just build the board and go?
Any help with this would be appreciated...
I purchased 3rd eye TPMS using discount coupon from juve021, ordered board from _Dejan_ . Use the provided link to see what I did.

I am using RR and DigitalFX skin. Since I started on this project there seem to be a less expensive alternative available.
But this is what I did.
Hope it helps.

Rob and Dejan have this setup only for the 3rd Eye kit, right?
Cause that kit is expensive...
I poured over the thread again and noticed the VALET system. Is this the less expensive solution your talking about?
Has anyone put this together using the VALET setup?

Hi,
Me, Robby and mnwcsult are using 3rd eye TPMS kit. We are not test any other kit... So if there is someone who is successfully build setup with any other TPMS kit please tell us how can we build it...
I am glad to see that you are happy with Robby's and mine work...
Bye, _Dejan_

Hello Dejan,
Robby told me that you have some board with all components without PIC: do you have it ? In case of yes, could you kindly let me know something in more such as cost, payment and delivery ?
Thanks,
Massimo

If the learning proces terminates as expected by deflating or inflating the tires (without push the Abort button), it means that the circuit is working.
However, given the need of many users, I will write a little stand-alone program able to check the circuit without RoadRunner.

I've received my PIC, and have everything assembled. The config program recognizes the hardware. Now I just need to mount the sensors in some tires to see if I am receiving data.

Considering all the other stuff that has gone into the CARPC another $250.00 isnt that bad. I actually like the 3rd eye kit, I may buy it and use it as is (I dont think I can connect it to the PC like you guys have, I suck at mods).
Now is this mod via USB? Is there a Serial (COM port) mod? I have 4 USB ports all being used. 3 for high bandwith, then a 7 port hub which is also filled. I really dont want to add another HUB so a serial would be great.
Also, what exactly do I need.......... I have to order the the whole TMPS from viva, or only the tire sensors? Also the board I order from Dejan? What is a PIC? Can I order that too?

Hi,
You need whole TPMS kit(because you need receiver to), USB board(which you can get from me or you build it yourself), programmed PIC(you can get it from Robby), case for builded TPMS, USB cable and this is all
If I remember Im somewhere see converter from Serial to USB so maybe this will be solution for your problem but I think maybe will be better if your GPS or if you have OBDII will be connected by this Serial to USB interface, because I dont think if software will work...

Ok, let's make it easy on everyone who needs to know what to get:
The best solution, by far;
1) Get the complete USB interface from DeJan, which will include Robby's PIC Micro with propietary code, pc board, crystal oscillator, ie the complete USB interface to your PC, but no Tyre Pressure System yet.
2) You have to buy the 3rd Eye System from a supplier, ie one that was mentioned here earlier.
3)Then you need to desolder the RF Receiver on the LCD board of the TPMS kit, and mount (solder) it to the USB interface you receive from DeJan.
4)Take your car to a tyre-shop, and have the sensors fitted, and wheels rebalanced.
5)Load the software from Robby's link to your PC, and there you go - you need RoadRunner as a front-end to run this software, but Robby is writing a small test-routine that will check your system for correct operation.
If you do not want to use RoadRunner as a frontend, but rather Centrafuse, DeJan's friend is currently writing a plug-in for CentraFuse.
Easy as pie, all the hard work has been done for us, it is virtually plug-and-play.

Hehe, I can help you, no worries
Sydney is just around the corner after all, and I can ship it out if you order everything and send it to me?
Keep me posted, I am about to order the TPMS kit from Viva Performance, but their shipping options is very expensive, I am hoping they would do USPS for us, I am not really willing to pay $121- US for shipping.

this is idd easy as pie
but i still have one question: we need to buy the tpms kit (for example from viva performance) witch costs 250 dollar, and then we modify it a little so we only use the receiver and the sensors from it?
isn't there a way to buy just the sensors (100 dollar) and get the receiver somewhere else? i think it is possible to get it made for under 150 dollar right? or am i wrong?

FMode and DaveDog:
Looks like you two are both at the same stage. I am eagerly awaiting your results as I plan on purchasing the Valet system and attempting this project. Let us know what you find out. Cheers and good luck.
