Same here. I am not handy enough to build all that myself. Is there a way we can buy it all done. All we have to do is install software and plug it in?

What price? This is a free project, you can build it by yourself.

I am in the middle of upgrading my pc, making a pcb for an 8051 controlling power, another pcb to get dead reckoning into GPS together with streets97f, general issues of getting cables and such from BMW and at last installing my system into the car, but when that is done I will read thru all this info with free experience for all of us others to take part in and then put together something. Without any gain interest. There is obviously a lot of people interested in this even though it is expensive.
Allright with you all?

I know its free. I really do not think I am handy enough to build it on my own. I understand the concept, but cant grasp or understand how to physicaly do it. The other day I tried to make the serial cable for my XM radio and ended up damaging the board so bad that I had to throw it away, 60.00 dollars down the drain. I was able to live with that, but I cant live with doing the same thing to a 250.00 dollar device. Now Im simply going to order the XM adapter and USB adapter from Mp3car.com.
Maybe you can build it for some of use that arent handy. You can tell us how much money it costs for supplies and shipping and how much you will charge for labor, which is determined by you. I also understand that your a busy man, so I wouldnt put a time frame on you, well as long as its not longer then a year, lol. All in all, I dont care how much it costs or how long it takes, all I know is that if I do it myself, I will end up with a useless TPMS.

How'd you destroy the XM board? I didn't think serial ports had enough voltage to actualyl do any damage?
And I'm sure someone would be willing to put one together for you, it doesn't appear to be too difficult

Serial port have obout +/-12V and 25-50mA so if you have any sensitive device you can destroy it... Maybe he did something else, like when solder cables on it he destroy board but this is posible fix it...
We are in contact with HiJackZX1 so if he would like I will help him...

Did anyone ever see this system: http://cgi.ebay.ca/TRUCK-RVS-UNIVERS...QQcmdZViewItem
It is cheap, I have one of these but of course not hooked up to PC. Maybe it is possible to play with hardware interface in order to make it work. I think this system may use the same processor as the one for which hardware interface already created.

lol, the serial end on the xm adapter was melted off..... apparently the 12V+ touched with something else and it caused the whole wire to become a heating tube. I saw smoke, then saw the connector was unusable. i then broke it off and tried to soder directly onto the pins, that became a big fused mess. I think it is all do to my impatience..... It has always been a week point of mine.

OMG, yes a saw this system, but was never ever able to get a price...... the thing is beautiful.... I cant believe you found it. I was only able to find info on it, but never a seller. I would stick with the 3rd eye, because as of right now, there are professionals that know how to program for it.

I can't tell if that is a band type sensor or a valve stem sensor. They show pictures of both. lol

It is not valve sensor for sure. I have this TPMS here at home. It comes with 4 sensors which must be installed inside the tire. I will remove the receiver from my car and disassemble it in order to get the name of the processor which used there as well as frequency of the receiver.

Unfortunately I don't have the time to build the device for others people, but I'm pretty sure that there are a many people in this forum (like Dejan ) that can help you.

That was the tpms kit I used in my first attempt to develope the device, but I had to abandon it due to the bad fastening system of the sensors inside the tyre, indeed as a result of centrifugal force exerted on the sensor during the rotation of the tire, the band expands so that at the first braking, the sensor moves also several inches from the original location, undermining the proper wheel balancing.
I had this bad experience during an high speed driving, so my advice is to use only valve stem sensors!
However, the baudrate and the communication protocol of these sensors is not compatible with my iterface.
