2004 Chevy Venture Audio Input

Forgive me if this is the wrong section pleas move if it is.

I have a Chevy venture with the dvd player and auxillary A/V inputs.

The problem I am having is that in order to use the audio inputs for my mp3 player I have to have a video source plugged in, this isn't really practical.
So I am wondering if anyone knows of or has made a dongle or a hack that would give enough signal to the video input to enable me to utilize the audio in jacks that I already have instead of needing an fm modulator.

Thanks

Have you tried shorting a RCA connector in the video input plug (no idea if this would work).

I haven't tried that, I dont think it would hurt anything. I'll have to try it.
