Fusion Brain...Expansion?

Hello again everyone. I was wondering if the fusion brain has any expansion, or can be used with more then one on the same computer. I haven't crunched the numbers yet but I'm figuring I'm gonna need upwards of 20 outs and a close number with the ins. As always any help is very much appreciated!

Thanks
-Nate

yes fusion brain can be used. with the drivers installed, and everything working properly, plugging in a second brain will create a second instance in the device manager. That instance Id you copy from the device manager and use in your skin. You can essentially use as many as you want.

There is a forum for the brain. Its a sub-forum of 'general hardware Discussion'. Much of this information can be found in there with a little mouse work.

h3rk is like our free customer service rep apparently.

But yes you can use up to 255 on the same computer now.

We are working on an output extender (I promise, I know it has been a while), which will make the 12 digital outputs into something like 64 or 96 depending on how much latency we want to build into it, but inputs are still limited.

If you are measuring inputs such as buttons (digital inputs) then you can cascade them through a resistor network and use an analogue in. Then based on the voltage read in, it cooresponds to a different button pressed. Exactly like OEM steering wheel controls.

But if you need to measure sensor inputs, then you need independant ports for each.

I like to help. It's the least I can do really.

oh and here's a little description of how it works, although the skinning method has changed a bit.
