Thats cool, I wish I could have fit my PC in the center console. Mine takes up the center console, under the passenger seat, and the back of the passenger seat.

Now I have a big Stinger scroll fan blowing over the computer for those hot Texas summers we get around here. Of course, it's on a switch so it's turned off for critical listening.
Love your setup. I put my amp in the same position, have yet to move my carpc to the same position on the opposite side. Best place to keep the carpc in my opinion.

hmm, wow. thats the only interior shot i could find online of a base model aveo5. a 7" screen can go in behind the DD housing. or i may just wait for that DD vga to come out. looks sweet too.
in front of the shifter at the front of the console, it looks like the minipc would fit. but it would need trimming. i would need to find another center console to do so. but i really dont like the idea of hacking up my under warranty brand new car. so i was thinking of pulling out that ash tray and cig lighter and putting it somewhere else.

Shocks from normal driving are going to affect the hard drive the same whether it is in the trunk or elsewhere. Some folks mount their pc with thier sub box, although I wouldn't. Most people don't have issues with hard drives skipping.

I don't think he was replying to your post. English may not be his first language.

Originally I only had 10" sub on bench with poweramp in.
With some modification I could fit the VoomPC right next to poweramp. (Seen upside down. WIP. Best picture I had)
No fans. Heat dissapation is not great, but power is low due to Solid State Disc. If I get problem I might let the PC and poweramp stand on a copperplate screwed to chassies. But no problem yet.
Small items like the USB soundcard is placed where CD changer used to be.

well in my last setup i had my 3.5" HDD standing position. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JHNeHNpajFo with this kind of setup i never had a problem or an issue with HDD. it never skkiped at all, not even on Indian bad road. ( as i am from India)
so now i want to put my pc under the seat or in the trunck, coz its hard to have access to my USBs though i have extensions. but it looks messy right now.
should i have my HDD standing upright in the trunk or flat under the seat?
