i just looked at their product... they promice 15-10cm min range which is ok for city enviroment.

Their monitor reciver uses wireless so it should be interceptable... but even less then that they dont have actuall distance dislpay so you can use phidgets to ged data off it.

The problem i see is that it can not show angle of the car. so if your right size is 10cm and left side is 30cm from the wall you will be getting beeps on red...

USB paktronic configuration
You need to upgrade your Flash Player

Sorry - accidentially posted without a text.
It is just a design idea for a computer interface for Parktronic UDC device.
Interface is plain simple, easy to program. I hope someone will find it useful.

now i'm just waiting for a complete kit from dejan....

got an idea... is it possible to blend a picture over the feed from the cam? could be very usefull so that you could draw guidelines that shows where the car would go, could imagine this would be very helpfull on parking lots where the spaces are just painted and there is nothing to messure distance against

Hi Robby,

Just starting to put together my carputer and this is awesome !

I have an 8 sensor (4 front + 4 rear) parking assist unit in my car and it seems to be a similar model to your first system in the first post of this thread going by the case markings. It is a wired display and similar to the following unit on ebay 8-sensor parking display.

My question is...
If I do a scope trace of the signals it uses, could you do a custom PIC for me which does the full front+rear in the one interface ?

Will this one work with PDC

The parking sensory avaialble here locally have 6 wire connection the the display unit. 2 wires carry power and ground and I am not sure what the rest of the 4 wires carry. The display unit is LED type and has almost same chips and construction given in the first few posts except the RF module. Any clue if this can work with PDC. I am attaching the picture of the controller board and the three main ic's are:
IC3: NXP HEF4052BT
IC4: ON Semi 14013BG
IC5: TI TL084C

The display unit is based on Atmel AT 89C2051

Could someone please clarify how front & rear PDC is done.
- Do i need 2x 4 sensor kits, or 1x 8 sensor?
- Do i need 2x the USB-PDC boards, or one?
TIA HoSS
