More nice things to add to the system :-)

Video shows my main complaint about parking systems. Living in a city I have no use for a sensor that goes "red" at 30cm! Can it be adjusted down to maybe 5cm or less?

My system turns on rearview camera when I put in revers. The rearview camera is on AV composite input on the LCD screen. No framegrabber, webcam or firewire camera. Which is good for cpu load but bad for skinning - Dreaming along: can the video get a yellow, or red tint on the sector getting short distance? (skin by video hw) Well, I guess the important thing is not where I will crash, so maybe the "beep" is enough. So what I want is to skin the beep i guess.... Invitation to brainstorm!

imo you should be looking out the back of the car and the sides and only using the screen for refrance, unless the screen is installed ablove the rear window, i would just go for the beeping, then when it gets too close or if there is an obsticle you can refrence to the screen

remember that parking sensors have blind spots too

my mate backed up his new bmw into a post as he didnt nore the parking sensors didnt see it

The distance is down to the sensitivity of the sensors.

No
Each single ultrasonic sensor works both as transmitter and receiver so when the distance is less then 25-30cm the time to switch from TX to RX is too large and it can't be ready for receive the echo sound on time.

With this plugin, the backup camera (if the hardware allows it) is shown on the display using the video overlay technique, this speed up the video display writing the digital video signal directly into the graphics card video memory without pass trough the CPU.

Bye, _Dejan_

There is this tread with the version tracker and all the languages already added.
Also, a standalone application for testing the device can be downloaded here.
