Hardware Development Links

I'm not sure of many links for hardware development, so if some of you others could post links, please do.

Here's one:
http://www.phidgets.com

Looks like its ideal for a car.

Thumbs up PIC12F6XX Development Kit

Here's a nice PIC12F629 Development Kit. This lets you test your firmware without swapping chips or wires. It has a built in PIC Programmer and comes with a plastic hood enclosure to keep the circuit sealed up once you are ready to deploy. It also works with PIC12F675 and PIC12F683 chips.

PIC Programmer and Protoboard

Full schematics and some firmware examples available at the site as well.

Mike D is right, if you need electromechanical components, use Digikey. For a good proto/development board, I recommend anything from Microchip. I've been using PIC16F877As for a while now, and they are extremely versatile.
