Yeah, then my cable was made as the "mirror image".
Also, the shield of the DIN cable wasn't attached anywhere. The shield on my D-sub is plastic, so where should I connect the shield of the DIN cable?
Thanks

I dunno if this is the cheapest, but I paid $35.00 plus shipping ($41.00 to FL) at the Zeb: http://www.thezeb.com/p-Terk-XMD1000...ner-109842.htm
It took about 3 days to get to me, and I just got it today. It is one of the "good" ones with the yellow logo on top.

I have the XMD1000 with the grey logo. I just got the pinout for the cable that came with the pioneer adaptor. Not gaurenteeing anything, you should still test it for yourself.

For the 12V power, can I just tap into a switched power source in my truck or do I have to power it off my carputer...

Stupid question #2: If I'm going to be plugging this into my Epia board do I still need to get the female db9 connector & hood or do I just get the V1 riser connector?
Stupid question #3: Where can I get the 8 pin mini-diin cable? Do I get it and just snip the other end off?

I power mine from the carputer, just for ease of it
I think the XMD has a good enough power supply in it to power it from the cars electrical system. But since it has a serial connection to my computer I didnt want to risk it
