the very first time you turn it on it can take a few minutes before it starts getting good locks.

Maybe you got a different antenna... mine is tiny. First pic is a quarter on top of it, second pic is with a dime standing up next to it.

This GPS mod takes a less amount of power and is WAAS capable... At the time I was doing the initial research there were no WAAS USB gps mouse's...
The antenna that goes on the roof of my car is less than a quarter of the size of the smallest GPS mouse, so its more of a stealthy look...
When you say gps mouse are you actually refering to the gps mice that are sold or the general all in one package?
?

Hi all. A few years ago when I was into this whole carpc thing much more I went and bought up some OEM gps stuff, got it to work in my house, and then promptly put it up to never use it again. The module I got to work was an sveesix module that can be seen here: http://www.rodaxwireless.com/images/jpg/trimbleCM3.pdf
with some antenna that I have no clue what it is (I can snap some pics and attempt to identify it for you if you want). I also have another OEM gps module that I can't remember what it was (I can attempt to identify this too) as well as 2 trimble antennas. One of the antennas needs a connector and the other one doesn't fit the sveesix module (the reason I ended up buying the third antenna).
If anyone is interested in this stuff I am willing to let it go really cheap just to keep from having it sit forever and eventually be thrown away.

I want to improve my reception, but this stuff is kind of scaring me away...
Is there a kit that comes with all connectors and stuff that I can plug to the serial header in my MOBO, and plug into a antenna externally?
Or is there a GPS mouse that is external-antenna capable that I can use?
Or a kit that just has everything required?
Please, I live in Brazil and the satellite signal is awful here in the dense city, so I really need something better than my bu-303...

I just went ahead and bought the 15L Wired and a Hercules antenna
One thing Im not clear on is the persistant power to the device. It was mentioned that it has a battery in it thats good for 21 days. Is this a rechargable battery? Im assuming it has be...
Just would like someone to verify so my minds at rest
