steering wheel controls, on steroids!!!!!

this is a gyration wireless keyboard embedded in my steering wheel, still under construction. I had to curve the keyboard quite a bit for this & let me tell you, keyboards don't like to be bent. It took a few of these keyboards to finally get it right, but what you see is a fully functional unit. there is a mouse & radio controls on the back of this, kinda at your fingertips. the aluminum bar at the bottom is for the horn, activates a microswitch. the upper open area will be finished off with a 1.8" lcd, can be switched from rear view/navigation/kidcam in back seat/or whatever. anyone see a market for this???????? the problem with development & marketing are the obvious libility issues not to mention the removal of an airbag.....I guess I'll settle for having the only one...............so far anyway..............feel free to copy/steal this idea.........

How would you explain that to a police officer? "Um no, honestly i wasnt on my cell, I was on the internet. And yes I will try and stay between the lines from now on Sir."

Where you mounting the 17 inch VDU and the clip on copy board, got a place for the fax machine as well?

Nice work you done there but seriously you got a bit of explaining to do if a police stopped you, how about if you got involved in an accident?

the keyboard is removable, behind it is the transmitter from the keyboard, the wireless mouse partially & the radio control circuit board, along with a 6 volt battery that lasts for months & yes, the bolt that mounts thisis also behind the keyboard. after it is installed I have the option of powering it through the clock spring, but wiring through the column is limited & I still need 12v & video signal & horn, if I can use the video on common ground I should be able to power it through the column.I actually need 3v & 6v for the different remotes, plus I will need 12v for the 1.8" monitor

as far as accidents, I don't plan on having any & cops, all they say is they should have that in there cruiser so far...but that's just seeing it in my office.......I guess if your doing something stupid & **** a cop off you could wind up with headaches, but I've been lucky so far with most of my stuff, I did once argue with a cop about the legality of my alpine screen, while displaying navigation no less....if they want to bust balls they can I guess...... I'll just take my chances........
