Well your head unit might be different, but according to this
schematic it looks like it's more complex than a single input power signal. I'm guessing most pioneers use a similar system control chip and similar silicon in the faceplate as they all have the same basic architecture, but different dsp's, etc...
Look at pages 14-15 for a broad overview of the entire system. The keyboard unit (faceplate) detailed schematic is on pages 24-25. There is a main power source (SWVDD), illumination power source (ILM+B), and OEL power source (OELB).
Problem is that the schematics don't specify what the values should be, it's coded into the system control chip PD5560A.
SWVDD power is regulated through transistors Q801 and Q802 off of pin 34 of the system chip.
OEL power is regulated through transistors Q803 and Q804 off pin 91.
Illumination power is regulated through transistors Q806 and Q807 off pin 58.
