Let me know how you get on, I'm very interested in this, I'm working with some guys on here to get realtime traffic reporting in the car and DAB is one way it is easily achievable if people don't have GPRS.

He means TPEG, he's not with it today. I'd be interested to see how much these are, it would be great if we can get a few test units to see if we can put together an application for it.

I'll contact them and ask for more info, I can't see it being too hard, especially if they will assist a little, just wish I knew more about electronics! Time to call one of my mates dads! Hes an electronics engineer.

Yeah, the equivalent of TMC on DAB is TPEG. Yeah, sure get a TMC receiver if you want that, and if these can do it as well, it's an added bonus, but there is little gaurantee we can actually USE the TMC data as we don't have the specifications, you need indexes to know which road is which, etc etc.
TPEG is what we'd be using on DAB, as we can actually USE the binary data without any modifications, hacking around - it's a fully open standard: http://www.ebu.ch/en/technical/projects/b_tpeg.php

It looks like the automative version can be shipped with an evaluation board. Bes thing to do is find out how much they want for 3 of them and we can combine it into the telematics project me you and terran are working on, if we can afford it!

I'll contact them and find out if they can help us.
Just spoken to them, they are e-mailing more information over with regards to interfacing etc, I'm hoping that there is some kind of sdk/conversion kit.

I've been emailing some other suppliers.
Once we have something useful we'll start it up as a proper 'project' thread, no doubt!
And you'll be the first to know Terran, for obvious reasons!
