I plan on positioning my LCD above the rearview mirror. I saw that you used to have your LCD mounted there. Why did you move it? I know it's not a good place for a touchscreen, but I don't plan on using a touchscreen. I'm going to mount some sort of tactile input device by the gearshifter and eventually use CD changer controls from an Alpine HU or similar.

Buy this and be done with it.

Cost is $27 kit, $32 assembled and you can control 8 servos via VB program without a need for limit switches. You'll probably spend that much in parts by the time you're done.

Might want to look into an L293D. It's a push-pull four channel driver with integrated diodes. Basically a cheap chip to control 2 sets of motors, or one motor in two directions

Googling for "L293D circuits" should yield some results.

Found something else that might interest you.

This kit (which is based on an L293D), let's you replace the electronics of a servo and turn it into a motor. Basically you give 5v to one wire to go one way, 5v to another to go the other. You should be able to rig it so you can control it with a NO and NC switch.

Correct me if I'm wrong but bascially this controller can be hooked up to a servo motor and a switch that can be used to control the servo without a separate controller? I'm looking to build a screen that can be raised or lowered by 1 servo using a push button switch. Will this work product work?
