DVD-ROM with USB to IDE Adapter Problem
Hi!
My Carpc is in the back of my car. so i added a dvdrom with an usb to ide adapter instead my HU. the power cable (from the atx p. supply in the back) and the usb data cable are about 4meters long.
The problem:
the bios will recognize it and the pc boots from cd but in windows xp sp2 i can't see the drive in the device manager. when I disconnect and reconnect the drive, windows loads a few seconds and the dvdrom works.
i only got this problem the first time after i cut the pc from the battery.
