i know this should go in the for sale section, but i have no faith left in that forum anymore so im posting it here. ive decided i dont really use my radio any more and could use the extra usb port, so im selling it. the leads for the external antenna have already been soldered and secured, so you'll be able to hook it up to your car antenna and get a way better reception (method described on page 7 of this thread). if you want to use this radio and you have no soldering skills, then go ahead and buy this off me. i'll guarantee it to work perfectly and connect to your car antenna. only the top case has been removed for soldering of the leads for the antenna. i'm asking my initial purchase price of $35 but you can save yourself a couple hours of VERY TEDIOUS work.

I also have a power antenna so Nislo, did you end up getting the power antenna working and whats this about a power amp prob? I dont want to read this whole thread so if you can summarize(wtf thats not how to spell that, stupid spell check) your modifications with this it would be great.

It was nothign specific to the silabs module, but specific to Subaru. Basically the Subaru's (the Impreza's at least) have an antenna amplifier in between the antenna (embedded in the rear window glass) and the plug that hooks into the back of the stock HU. What I didn't realise was that it was powered from the harness of the stock HU. I didn't know this at the time and when I disconnected the stock HU to install the carputer I unknowingly cut power to it so the antenna amplifier wasn't working and I couldn't get any stations through the Silabs usb tuner.
When I posted about it on here, Lithoss pointed out that I need to power the antenna. Once I did this and the antenna amp was powered, the local stations came through loud and clear and it's been working great ever since.

I have a Silabs fm module and it works with all my devices but NOT with my Roadie usb soundcard.
All works fine before I install the software for the Roadie. When windows reeboots and the roadie software runs for the first time, my Silabs adapter disconnects and reconnects on and off like 30 times per minute and I can see the light on my hub where the silabs is saying there is a device on that port flashing on and off constantly.
Other devices on that hub works fine
I move silabs to another hub - same result
I remove silabs adapter - all works fine
I reconnect silabs adapter - same error again
I uninstall roadie mixer program and reinstalls only the roadie usb driver - all works fine and both devices works fine together BUT then I just have regular volume up/down function. I loose the "fading" function for example. I dont need all the effects bells and whistles but If someone just could guide me if there is a stand-alone universal program that will expand windows sound functions and add fading between front and rear speakers for example I would be more than greatful.
Turtle beach doesnt have any updates on my software and does not give any clues on my problem or any patches that I can use.
Anyone?

Where did you order it from? From the US or here in AUS? You can get them from Braemac who has offices in the capital cities for $60 delivered IIRC.

as I wrote - i cant find any updates on silabs homepage - I mean there are no software drivers that I can download since windows installs its own drivers the moment I plug in the device in my hub. I am using xp home with the latest updates...
Is there a way to maybe update the firmware of my silabs dongle that is not listed on silabs.com/usbradio

I ordered via mouser. After I emailed them back about the $55US shipping fee they realised it was a mistake in there ordering process, apologised and reversed $42 of it back to my credit card. Which makes total cost $48US which = $54AUD. It arrived in good time.
I did do a quick search for it in aus but gave up fast.

The unit works perfect apart from that it doesnt get along with roadie usb soundcard software
