Just contacted the Dutch distributor about the USB radio.
Hopefully they can give me a good price!

Waiting for an answer......

Look 2 pages back and you'll know what the unit has to cost in Holland... ;-)

I'm waiting for the HQCT in this topic:

I'm anxious to read what pcsofty has to say. As for me, my observations stand as previously posted. I've thus far been unable to get adequate performance from this radio in my truck, while in motion.

Any one know how is selling this in the U.S. How does it compare to the HQCT?

IIRC Rando got it, and said the reception was as expected - quite poor.

Thumbs up I got one, it's not bad

Hey guys, sorry to revive this (not all that old) thread, but I thought that I had some info that maybe some people would be interested in.

I ordered one of these from mouser.com when it recently became available again and I decided I'd try it out (only 40 bucks shipped, the HQCT is much more and MP3Car.com never shown it in stock, plus I got tired of waiting).

I'm sure the HQCT is much better quality, but the price, requirement that audio travel over yet another wire, and constant out of stock nature of the beast just made me look elsewhere.

Anyway, I found the source online, modified it (extensively) to work from a DLL, added a Radiator interface and have been testing it on my home pc. My only gripe with the source is it uses the winapi instead of direct sound, which I may have to correct one day.

Reception is pretty good in my apartment, not near a window with the little puny wire included. I tried it in my truck and the reception sucks if the wire is laying on the floorboard, but if I put it anywhere near a window it gets good in a hurry.

I'm going to see how it works if I connect the wire to my stock antenna this weekend.

If anyone is interested in my radiator compatible plugin dll, PM me and I'll send you a copy.

Hey brill, welcome to the search for the holy grail (decent FM recption)

Nice to know someone has got something new going on, I dropped the holy fm search and I'm using what free time I have for the mother of all car alarms, but I'm really interested in anything that will get FM without the damn dsbr100 thing I have, works ok but not the best thing in the world.

Thanks for your post. I have just followed your example and ordered one from mouser.

Here's the link if anybody else is interested.
