Perhaps the amp you plug it into doesn't like 18bit SPDIF ?
That's impossible. The op.amp has nothing to do with that part. It is only an input buffer. It is required to prevent the noise and to gain a little bit.
Sometimes I think I should give up, but then I go on
I have made some tests and I found a very funny thing. I was measuring the voltages on all over the pcb and I discovered when I'm measuring between ground and 1 leg of the cristal it gives sound. Perfectly clear good sound. So the op.amp ig good.
Sure its the same signal so there is no problem.
PLEASE resolve this interface that we can play ouers MP3 players/Ipods on this headunit becouse its hard to get a CD head unit,and if you buy it in the renault shop,than this headunit is 2x more expensive that pioneer,alpine MP3 autoradios.
But becouse the thiefs,i reather have the original headunit,couse nobod wants to steal it.
So this interface will some day work and how do you connect this interface to headunit,trough a blue conector for wexler or what.
So interface will have input jack for MP3 signal out/headphone out and it will be connected trough a blue connector.But this headunit doesnt have aux-in,or you dont need this aux-in becouse the interface will simulate the fantom weksler?
The problems are solved. It works and gives great stereo sound. The problem was a *****ing capacitor.Anybody who can make home made pcbs and can solder can do it. This connects thrue the blue connector of head unit.
This connection is "only" analog to spdif. It doesen't have the emulator part. This is done a long time ago, and it was easy as I got the info on this forum.
In a few days I will post the schematics of the complete board ( spdif+emulator ) and the hex for the pic also. Maybe this could be shown on the TLCDCEmu sourceforge page ?
The spdif.txt file attached isn't txt. It is a pcb file and you can view it with express pcb software. You can download it for free.
So this is not a spdif and emulator jet,for playing you need both?

Its bether that you give a realy last version of both on the same board that realy works.
And pictures of yours,so that we can copy visual if something get wrong.
How the head unit recognite the emulator,or what i must do that the radio plays sound from this emulator source?

The whole board gets it's power form the head unit. When you turn the radio on it will power up our emulator ( inc. spdif converter ). There is a pic microcontroller in the panel witch communicates with the head unit. When the head unit is turned on it send "on" signal to the pic it respons to it, and keeps the communication alive. When the head unit sees this communication is ok it turn on the spdif input. The spdif converter is only required because the head unit doesen't accept analog signals only digital. The spdif converter makes analog to digital.
It's really not hard logic if you undersand it.
There is only one more thing. If you build it you have to program the pic first. If you don't know what this means then think of the pic as a microcomupter. You have to upload the emulator program to the microprocessor. You have to have a programmer circuit to do this.

No. The emulator turns on the aux. The spdif converts the line out of the ipod ( or other player ) to a sound format accepted by the head unit.

You can select it with the source button of the radio. Now you can choose mostly casette or radio. When you connect it you can choose form casette, aux, radio.

I've attached 2 pictures. One is the emulator, the other is the spdif. Soon I will go to a professional pcb factory and ask them to make the all-in-one for me. The hex is also attached. It is compiled for 16F88 on 4 Mhz.

I was thinking to say if you can post both the PCBs from emulator and SPDIF bit i see that the emulator PCB have a lot lines to do this at home.
If the all-in-one will be ready it would be almost impossbile to copy by the photo I will post 2 pictures of the wires on each side. This way you can copy it.
