Yes i know that is imposible to copy board by the pictures,i just mean that the pictures is in the little help if something is not quite clear.

When you will made a pcb all in one just post the picture and the elements that we need and the pcb shematic that we can copy it or give the proffesionals to made it.

Its realy great that someone like you made this for this head unit

Do you know when you will have the end product finished?Approximatly?

Well I think it will only be done in 2-4 weeks or so. If you want the pcb in less then 2 weeks it is very expensive. I won't go to a professional to make it for me. A car club will do it and probably ask their members how many do they want. So I'll ( and you ) havet to wait for it, and for the photo.

If you want I can make a pcb design of it, so you can do it yourself. But I can't post any photos of this one, since I will not make it

Well if its not a trouble for you,you can make it and posted it on the forum.
Will this be the end product just like you will have or what?
Can you draw a line on it to see what is the emulator and what is SDIF yous for the info.

Is this PCB scheme the smallest as it can be?Doesnt exist the programs wich do the smallest PCBs as its posible?

This sounds great, congratulations !
Did you test it in the car before making the compacted circuit ?

Of coures I've trired it.

The only problem is that the hu displays "TR CD1". So it's not perfect. But I will fix it. The program that I wrote for the computer works perfectly so this souldn't be hard to port it to PIC.

Any maybe the last step will be to controll the Ipod with the hu.

This is excellent!
So it works in the car with the HU, and you plugged the ipod line out to it?
Indeed the next step is to interface the ipod with the HU so we can pause and skip songs. Congratulations !

Hey, some more questions: can we have high resolution images of the PCBs you made, so we can make them too ?
Where do you live ? Because if you happen to be in the south-east of france, perhaps we could order the "pro" pcb with you
For the "pro" pcb you order, is it still possible to reprogram the PIC afterwards or not ?

This all sounds great. But if I may suggest, there are lots of people who doesn't own the Ipod. A standard USB port would be more than welcome, so you can plug other MP3 players, external hard drives or Flash thumbdrives and control them via HU. And the diplay would show id3 tags maybe I'm asking too much. In anyway GREAT JOB!!!

A USB plug would only work if the audio was sent through USB uncompressed. Otherwise the adapter would have to be an actual MP3 decoder, which is the case for most HU that support MP3 (not the update/tuner list, at least not mine). So pluging a hard drive or thumbdrives would not work. Perhaps for some devices which output line level uncompressed audio and allow to be controlled via USB it would work with our device, but incorporating mp3 decoding in there would really be a departure from the current design.

So many questions

In the pro borad it will be possilbe to update the program of the pic if needed.

I connected the ipod's headphone out. So it is possible to connect anything.

In the pro board there is a possibility to connect the Ipod ( still not developed ), so you can controll it ( pause, next ... ). This is not even started, first I want to correct the emulator program. By the way this emulator program is only ~25% of the pic's program memory so plenty of space left for the Ipod. If someone doesen't have Ipod it will not be any problem. The board works without it.

Unfortunatelly the HU can't display ID3 tags.

It is very hard to make usb connection and the speed of the pic would not allow good results. I'm not planning to make so. But If you want to put a hdd in the car why don't you put a whole computer in it ( ex.: P1 350 mhz ).

By the end of the week I will post a high resolutin picture of the pro board so you can build it .

So, as I said here is the complete board.
It includes all you need.

Remember. All you do is for your own risk. I don't take any responsibility for this!

I've attached the schematics, top pcb design, bottom pcb design, and a picture of how it should look like And the hex file also. The hex is compiled for 16F88 @ 4 Mhz.

You can check the schematics for the values of the parts.

Schematics:

Yahoo!!!
This is amazing, thousand thanks!
Can we have a higher resolution of the first image (the design) ?
And can you tell me what size the pcb is supposed to have so I can print it correctly ? We're doing 4 here !
Thanks a bundle!

Digital0001.zip

Protel sais that the board is 78.73951mm X 82.012mm
But remember, if you print the board try at least 1 ic on it if it fits the size ( befor you iron and etch the board ).

And let me know how you succseeded.

And the 74ls04 supposted to be 74hc04. Sorry

Why is there so many connectors on each side?14 on left and more on right?

Is this PCB double sided, becouse of picture?(UP has a line or to to bypass?)
Is the second and third picture swaped betwen, couse TOP looks to me like bottom where is no elements, and BOTTOM looks like UP where the elements must be.
