You can replace the factory ant. of the engenius usb adapter with one that have SMA connector or you can always mod a female connector to the USB adapter.
Check here for the engenius USB adapters specs:

And here for a review of what you need to do the MOD:

They probably don't make them because they usually come with a USB extension. They tell you to use the extension and reposition the whole unit up higher for better reception.

Jimmy, the extension part is true, however that is not going to improve the quality of the antenna.
Greenman....WHERE????
Michael I would have to do a mod for that one, I don't want to mod it ...

Am I reading it wrong.
"Engenius Senao 200mW 802.11G USB 2.0 EXT SMA Conenctor $99.95
EUB-362 EXT
Works in netstumbler
Verified working under Linux using ndiswrapper on FC4
Includes detachable antenna and usb 2.0 cable
.....
SUMMARY: For users who require the maximum range and performance, the NUB-362 EXT is the solution with its 200mW high output power, removable antenna,"
The website says it has an SMA connector, and it says it is removable in at least 2 places. What more do you want?
Michael

Michael, I was confused with thanatos link that he provided it seemed as if one would need to do that mod in the link for it to work.

No problem. I got worried for a while that I was seeing things. Also, I think he had 2 links, the other needed to be modded.

I just recently bought this one: http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll...tem=5852121599 for $40 and am pretty pleased with it. I also bought a magnetic mount external antenna (7dbi), but the antenna that came with it actually does a much better job.

Buffalo makes a sweet one... its usb 2.0 and takes a mc something connection which you can pick up a magnetic antenna on ebay for 15 bucks... I got my buffalo for dirt... think 19 on ebay. Range is pretty dang good. I was picking up wifi from about 300 yards through my house with it.
