You wanna code something ?! Cool !
I have started with the HQCT driver in .NET and RDS Interpreter in .NET (both Assemblies)...
There is enough work for all - without coding things twice (which has happen enough IMHO) !

We are a couple of people who are developing what we think is a a good solution to the HQCT hardware. If we can create a good software and a goss interface to it (usable from frontends and standalone) this radio is going to kick even more asses..
I've done a huge pile of RDS stuff and the basics of signalprocessing and tuning which FMMode now is putting into asseblies. The HQCT is FILLED with functionality. Its just a matter of implementing software support for it!..
Are you a somewhat experienced programmer?.. There are people out there who seem to thing that developing software seems to be fun, but we need some more brains than that..
Good lock when developing..

My HQCT update and some questions
Diogenes, Thank you for your suggestions. I checked and the antenna connectors appreared to be intact.
Then I downloaded the "new" software. I thought I was already using it but now I get a lot of stations, both AM and FM! Here are some firther observations:
1) The RDS seems to only work on one, the closest, FM station.
2) The audio quality seems a bit fuzzy like it's not quite tuned in.
3) the signal stregnth reads 80s to 150s now.
Things are definitly improving! I have faith!
Has anyone figured out a way to use Visual Basic to make software for the HQCT are there any compatible programs out there?
The audio from the HQCT seems to be coming out only from my from speakers. I am connected through the CD motherboard connection and using the Vinyl Deck software that came from VIA. Is there a way to get it to also come out of rear? (Is there any "fader" software out there?
BTW are there any car PC people in the Long Island, NY area that would like to get together?
Is there a car PC forum in Yahoo Groups? I can't seem to find one...
Thanks again, DeLorean Dave

Well, I also have one of the units.
Put it in my case, made a USB kabel. Everything is recognize by XP without any problem.
But, when I use the HQCT software or run RR I only hear noise. Thats not a problem because I need to install everything in the car and connect the antenna to it.
What really bothers me is that if I stop the HQCT program or go from Radio to Muziek in RR the noise keeps going on.
It doesn;t go away.
Only thing that works is Restarting the computer
Yesterday evening I read the whole topic and couldn't find anything similar to this

Till today no difference - I can´t hear radio.
I got a new adaptor - no chance to have a good signal.
I changed the place of the radio, too but nothing happens!
So, please tell, what could I do? I have this modul now for months, but can´t hear radio.

Is the antenna an active antenna, that needs power in order to operate. Have you tried going to a car parts store, and getting an antenna, and connecting it and seing if the reception improves? If not, then you can return the antenna, no harm no foul, except for some time.

Try a different antenna. There are several reasons. First, the active antenna may not play well with the HQCT. Also, there may be "ground loop" issues, since the HQCT is powered form a different source then the Antenna, which might introduce significant noise and interference.

time circuitery gets activated at 88mph according to Doc Brown calculations, it's imperative to reach that speed
