planning and prototype 99% finished-- servo question

Hey everyone,
After about a year of off and on planning, I am getting ready to build my motorized housing, but I still have a question or two on servos.

Is there a recommended site to purchase them? I found this site which hasn't been linked on the forums yet:http://www.lynxmotion.com/Category.aspx?CategoryID=1 and they have mounting brackets and erector set compatible parts which is very nice, with cheap motors for $12 bucks, but the software is pricey at $40.

Also about how much torque would be needed to lift a 7'' lilliput? Is 76oz/inch or torque enough?

Bugbyte's setup used a 190 oz/inch which is the difference between a $12 servo motor and $50 one. http://www2.towerhobbies.com/cgi-bin...gm?CATEGORY=MA (looks like a very reputable ste) But is that massive torque needed? Bugbyte can you give input please? =)

I'll upload pics later today of prototype and designs in my worklog.
