jan, golfs/gti, pedals...

Jan, you'd have more experience with this than I would. Have you ever though of moving the foot pedals forward (toward the driver) three or four inches? I'm about to go down and see what's possible. I have... plans... if it's doable.

nope - haven't....I'm guessing you're doing this to move the seat back some for better imaging...

quite drastic for something while you're driving donchathink?

I am looking into new seats to move my seating position back past stock since VW decided to over engineer the seat rails and there's no way to move the factory seat back any further...frickin' vw...

but I'm also looking at building show only pillars since I need to essentially have lumps up there for the Be 3" mids....

well, I looked and it's not going to be easy, if possible. It's not going to be worth it.

Actually, I was thinking if I could get the pedals out about 3" I could get a midbass driver back there for the longest possible physical path lengths for the 150-400hz ranges where it'd matter.

having my car be a DD sucks. So much more could be done.
