Technically, I am grabbing the audio signal from the onboard audio driver, and then using audio mulch to distribute, and process the signal, and then send it to my external audio card.
So far, I really like it this way! No worries about buffer issues, or different programs trying to resample the entire audio stream, or compatibility between programs.
So far, it took only 5 min to setup, and I have had zero issues with it.
For other audio mulch users: in console, you can adjust the output level of a certain 'wire' by right clicking on the wire- is there a similar option in audio mulch anywhere?

So far, I have not had any audio quality issues at all.
I really think that there was just too many programs messing with the audio signal- like having 1 small cake in a classroom full of hungry fat kids...

Quality wise, it did not change any of it- but I have recently added some jl audio cl-rlc pre amp volume controls that have drastically made everything better

How are you using the JL Audo CL-RLC in a 3-way active setup, plus subwoofer (I assume)? Since the volume control is only a stereo device, are you using several of them, and just using them to adjust the volume of the different speakers relative to each other? And using the computer's volume control as the master volume?
I would like a hardware volume control like that, but I would want a single knob to control all of the audio channels.

At was one of my requirments: one knob for volume, one for sub adjustment.
The units remote volume control is linkable with phone splitters. So I have a total of 4 cl-rlc's: 3 are used for standard volume adjustment, and are linked together to one knob, and the 4th is used as a sub level control. I keep the computer volume at max and adjst the level of the rlc's to taste.
Though i feel that I must mention that I am having problems with one of the units not working all the time-it seems that I have a one defective one
Edit: for clarification, I only have a 3 way setup- tweeter, mid, and sub. But you should still be able to use a similar setup in a 2,3,4,5, or whatever setup because the units are linkable

i am wondering if using the onboard sound driver will degrade the sound quality....
with this driver you apss the audio into the sound card in the motherboard...so it is colored by it...and this is a very cheap sound card ...(mine is cheap lol)
with vac ...will the sound be better? where the sound pass? in what matérial...in nothing?in the processor?
could someone make this more clear ?
i am asking pro lol:P

I didn't know you could link them together like that, sharing the same volume knob. Totally cool. I'll have to start saving up my spare change to get a few of those!

i changed my mind....asioforall is way more sq than with directsound...
with direct sound the sound is easier to locate juste because the sound is more crappy......with asiofor all ...it is more dinamic
i'd like to know if is there a way to send the audio to the pdif out...and take an optical cable ..to the spdif in...(no moere use of vac...) and after this i can use asiofor all to send the audio to the sound card..

Double check that you have Redone the connections after swiching over to the different audio driver.
Hm,
Maybe this is problem. Im use existing project file which Im use with ASIO. Do you think that this is problem? I will try today make one new project from start...

Hmmm. Im not think this way Maybe this is good solution, we will see. If new project will not help I will enable onboard sound device(ALC888) and test if I can go this way...

i honestly have been avoiding your questions about driver differences in locating instruments--because, i am not very happy with my setup now(i am running a 80hz sub lowpass, and a 120hz mid highpass...speakers won't allow better x-overs...), sound quality is SO subjective-- what i swear makes it sound better, can very possibly make it sound worse to you...
dejan-- i know that when switching drivers, or inputs/outputs in console, i had to rewire my setup. i have not experimented with audio mulch enough yet to know if it does the same thing(i was so exited to get a setup that doesn't pop and crackle like a blown speaker, i've been find of afraid to touch it).
for anyone interested, it appears that there is not a review on the cl-rlc, so i might be doing that later, if i get a chance.

sound quality cant be subjective...if you ound is deeper more detailled....it is.!
if you follow iasca...they judge you on how clear is your sound...how the instruments a separeted....how linear is your system etc....
in your daily driver...if you prefer a sound wich has less detail or waterhver...and is sound better for you you can goo for it.....but that is not a better quality system...it is just your taste.
