sorry I haven't been able to keep the initial post updated with all the new software, things have been a little hectic around here lately. Hopefully here in the next few days I'll be able to update it with the new info that everyone has been able to find!

Welp, I finally got the driver installed...lol

Took me a while.

Apparently the drivers they have listed on the main site are old and are known for causing problems with the Audigy cards.

Thanks to a board member over there I was able to download the latest drivers.

NOW I can play with them some!

If I can find the time to do that too....lol

based on that link you provided, I noticed this:

Quote:
PCMCIA, spdif not working, record in ASIO only

So am I to understand this correctly? If I'm using the optic out on my 2ZS Notebook card I can't get the optic out to work?

Or is it that it can't record via the optic in?

From what i've seen the kX drivers are amazingly flexible, however the skin/interface is anything but touchscreen friendly. In general the interface is really disapointing

thought some might find it worth noting...from the horses mouth.

Perhaps if we showed enough interest someone might jump on it?

I don't know. Does the Audigy2 notebook have SPDIF in? I have an Audigy 1 PCI card, an Audigy2 PCI card, and an SB LIVE 24bit USB. I was testing it on my home computer with my Audigy 1 card. So I just don't know.

I agree the user interface sucks but like everything else now a days there are different skins for it. You can enlarge the DSP connections screen if that helps.

Here is a link for updated drivers in beta form I guess:

http://www.driverheavendownloads.net/kXmain.htm

Also if you search through some of the forums on driverheaven, there are some other later drivers still in testing phase as well.

Well I could do that, but that work make it even more touchscreen unfriendly. Its hard to use kX's GUI in the car pierod (at least for me).

Even in the house I don't really appreciate the interface, but that may be because alot of things aren't labeled, and for someone who doesn't know as much about serious audio tuning, its neccesary.

Also I tried every skin I could find (which was about four)

I know..the kx driver could be a very nice solution..but that is one of the only things keeping me from using it at the moment. The Alpine processor ease is holding me back...

BTW-I think I am going to attempt to "fix" the small delay plugin for car use in the near future. I will post it if I have sucess. See this thread:

Yeup - it has SPDIF in and SPDIF out. optical for both, 1/8" to Tos-Link adapters is all it takes.
