Laptop with no working battery.

So I got a laptop and the battery doesn't hold any charge. Not even for a sec anyway the auto start switch wont work for me because it wont power off the unit. Anyone have any tips they can through my way?

If it will work w/ your laptop, use a Carnetix unit.
Check the DC power output on the AC power brick.

You can probably get a new battery for cheap, from ebay or from a shop like BTI.

Now, if you want to build your own, it's certainly possible, but you're better off purchasing one to save yourself some money and headaches.

So is checking the output voltage on your AC power brick. You have the power brick. You look at the label on it. You determine the output voltage.
Doesn't get more DIY than that.

You could also manually shut down before you turn your car off. When you get some $$, buy a battery.

the bes think is that you make a sigle connexion direct from the car battery whithe a switche on the - not the + so you can deside whenyour laptop go of
