Trouble with Lilliput 10.4 T/Screen

Hi all,

I've been around for a while, but never really posted.

However, I'm having a bit of trouble with a new Lilliput 10.4" Touchscreen I have just purchased, and I thought maybe someone might be able to help.

When ever I try to connect the USB to my computer, it says:

I have tried different drivers, different ports, different PCs (4!!) but still no luck.

Anyone able to shed some light on this situation?

Cheers.

Looks to me like there is a problem with the controller, or a connection with the controller (ie. either the ability to power that controller, or communicating with it). The OS is trying to communicate with the touch screen (or rather the controller of the touch screen - polling it), but getting no response back.

I'd try to return it, if it's new. If it's used, you might need to replace the touch screen.

I just did a thread a few days ago about my new Lilliput 10.4 touchscreen crapping out. In my case, it was some sort of short that drew so much power that the ATX power supply fan would stop. I was able to contact the guy I bought it from and so far, they have been very, very responsive (I'll let everyone know the final outcome).

Anyways, if you're having trouble getting it repaired, write to these addresses and tell them your problem:

johnxu@lilliputweb.net and llppei@yahoo.com.cn

(yes, one is in China) Between the two, they should be able to help you.
