radar detector and road runner

Is there a way to have a radar detector show on roadrunner? I searched and read about valentine 1 having some support with rr but couldn't find any more on it. I would like to get a radar detector that mounts in the bumpers of my truck so i don't have to have one on the windsheild. I know they used to make one but haven't seen it in a while. I will try and find one but how do i go about intergrating it into rr? Thanks

Well you would need hardware to get from the radar detector to the PC.

Forget RoadRunner temporarily. How are you going to let the PC know what the radar detector is doing? You cant just plug it in via usb or something. Once you solve that, then yes, anything is possible.

I guess from the searching i did on here i assumed that there was a radar detector that had a usb output on it. The one mentioned was valentine 1. I will look at there web site and see what they say about it. Maybe the person in the thread on this site designed their own cable from the detector to the computer. Thanks

The Valentine's can be connected via serial port. If you search, you can find the pin out for the connector.

Their are a number of serial-to-USB products. If you need USB, you can use one of them.
