Unhappy Lilliput did 800x600, now says no signal found

So I just got a brand new lilliput 8 inch touchscreen (Thanks mp3car.com store! I think...) The video quality is beautiful, and the video connector itself is much more stable then my old xenarc screen. the USB touchscreen is a huge bonus too.

I run RoadRunner at 800x600, as most skins for it are that resolution. For the first week or so, my lilliput was happy to display at 800x600, and gave me no trouble whatsoever.

Last week I was leaving my friends place to drive home and its late at night. I start up the PC and begin poking through the menus to dial down the brightness. Being a geek, I begin looking through all the menus, as i hadn't taken time to really explore them. Anyways, I may have something funky, though I've no idea what though. The monitor power cycled, and then wouldn't center the image on the display properly. I unplugged it from power, then plugged it back in, and it wouldn't display 800x600 at all! I just get a blue screen and a "No signal found" message.

Now heres the kicker. It will still display fine at 640x480, or 1024x768. If I could get a skin for RoadRunner that does 1024x768, I suppose that would sovle my problem, but I really want to get support for 800x600 back.

Has anyone else ever had similar problems?

Update:

I changed the refresh rate on the screen to 75hz and everything works fine now! Sometimes its the simplest things....
