3D Connexion

I just searched and no one has mentioned this thing.
Looks like it might be pretty cool as an input device:

yeah it came up on my Yahoo Gadgets this morning. It's called the Space Navigator

Here is a short review

and the manufacturer website

3D Connexion is apparently a child company of Logitech.

After doing a forum search on "Space Navigator" there are several threads on it already.

I have one of these on my computer at work. Its mainly used for 3-d applications. I use on our program Solid-edge for panning, zooming, and rotating.

Here's the driver development thread:
http://www.mp3car.com/vbulletin/soft...nt-thread.html

I'm using a SpaceTraveler at work and it's pretty slick. I like the 8 buttons around the outer edge. I'm using the driver which I posted a link to in conjunction with the driver suite that comes with the device and it's pretty good. I'm planning on installing one in the car within the next month or so.
