I have a 7-port USB HUB that needs power. How do you power the USB? A few weeks ago I fried a USB hub because I spliced the supplied power adapter and hook it up to the 5V line on the M2-ATX. I guess it doesn't work that way. How are you powering your USB because my external DVD player needs it.
The power adapter which accompanied the hub is rated at 1.2amp output. I would assume 1.2-1.5amp could be handled with ease. I use it for a griffin powermate, touchscreen and dvd drive (dvd drive is also powered through the 5v line to the hub.
The limitation is in what you can connect to the hub. Some USB items require the total amperage of the port, where as a single USB port only outputs 0.5A of power. So if you have a few items that need the 0.5A you will come up short and weird things will happen.
