calibration not saving

So every time I start up my carpc, it makes it calibrate. I shutdown the computer and it said saving settings. Well I turn on the pc again and it makes me calibrate it.

Basically every time I turn on the pc it makes me calibrate the touch screen. Anyone know how to get that fixed so I don't have to calibrate it every time?

in your touchscreen options there are 3 options for how often to calibrate. check the box for only once.

well i checked and tere was no box for only once.

I have a 7" lilliput touchscreen. And everytime windows loads, it re-calibrates the screen by making me hold down on blinking x until x stops blinking.

You would think the calibration would save, but it makes me re-calibrate it every time windows loads.

I know I have seen this option. Each driver is different. I reccommend the touchkit drivers.

im pretty sure the touchkit drivers are what came with my screen.

This is just too weird, I don't know why it doesn't save when I shut down.

Run msconifg and under the startup tab disable/uncheck the 4ptcal program and that should stop your system from running the program at startup. Do this after you have calibrated the screen correctly though. Hope that helps.

You may need to remove and reinstall the drivers.

During the re-install there will be a option to turn this off. If you chose to calibrate at startup during the installing of the drivers then that is what happens at every boot up.

In your registry, try to find the program in these locations:
HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\Curre ntVersion\Run
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Microsoft\Windows\Curr entVersion\Run

If you don't find them there, try your "Startup" folder under your start menu.

Just delete the value if it's in there.

i found out what to do. Under MSconfig I just unchecked the 4autocalibration.exe and it is fine now. By the way, I upgraded to XP to increase bootime.
