Volumophonstar

I just finished this little addition and I love it!

Car came with a phone for Onstar. Basically, I gutted it , since it was worthless anyway, cut a hole for the scroll wheel, and installed the parts from a mini-usb scroll mouse.

This allows me to scroll through iTunes and web pages without using the touch screen. More importantly, at night, if I want to tone down the glow of the monitor, I just roll the wheel and the screen dims using Volumouse.

If I park in a seedy area, I just disconnect the USB cord (it retracts) and stuff the phone in the console. Neat, huh?

Did you rewire the buttons as a keypad?
