Using I-PAC for SWC

Alright I'm trying to figure out how to connect my steering wheel controls to control my carpc. I'm looking at using the I-PAC because it seems to be a good value (I-PAC VE is $35 shipped) but I haven't found a whole lot about using the I-pac for SWC.

I'm just wondering if anyone could tell me if this will work for me. I have a 2000 grand prix that uses a single wire with varying voltage with each button press (8 total). Does anyone know if this will work?

the i-pac uses a single ground and basically closes a circuit to emulate button presses that you program with the included software. I don't think the varying voltage will work. If you could get a wire run from each button it could work.

You might try and take a look at the steering wheel controls. If you could run wires to each button it would work. The wires could be tiny as there's really no real voltage running through the wires. I used an ethernet cable to run wires to the buttons i hooked up. Might be worth a try.
