Would you cut?
So I got my camera today and I yanked out the key-lock hole to test fitment.
The keylock hole is... keyed. The OD of the camera is exactly the same size as the ID of the key hole, but not of the keys.
So I have two options. Cut the keys off or bend them out of the way.
Option three is to find a new location.
I would like to be able to reverse the mod (I will not be drilling any holes).
So, what do you guys think? I'm leaning towards bending the keys back 90 degrees then notching the mounting ring they sent to keep everything as flush as possible. That way, I can bend the keys back and put the key lock back in the hatch when I remove the camera.
Ideas? Thoughts?
The cam is a bit larger than I thought, but it's a pretty cool setup.
Would you cut a hole in your car to mount a camera? I will NOT be selling/trading my car in with my audio equipment in it, and a hatch is expensive to replace.
