Help on putting touch screen in my dash?

Wats up guys. I have a 2005 chevy impala and i am trying to install a Valor ITS 701-w with a 7" touch screen. I dont know if you know, but the center of the impalas dashboard has a part where it comes out and curves back in. I was told at best buy that i cant install the DVD player because the screen wont clear it. But i dont know if thats true. Any suggestion on what I should do?

Here is a pic of the dash and some artwork from paint lol

The length from the cd player to the outside of the dash is like 1.5 inches.

This is the DVD im trying to install.

When the DVD player comes out and up it wont clear that curvy part. If you guys can help me out on what you think i should do, I will greatly appreciate it.

I basically need a DVD that flips out far enough to come up in front of the dashboard. But i am trying to manage with the one I got.

That looks right. You can't install it on the curve.

I think your only choice is to put the screen where the headunit and the CD storage compartment are and either move the HU or switch to an amplifier setup.

Either that or hack the curved part out of your dash :-)

I would move the HVAC contrls to where the radio is now and mount the Valor where the HVAC is.
