It's the left most, blank, black button. My car didn't come equipped with heated seats so I had those two black buttons available. It took a lot of trial and error as acutally mounting the button in there was NOT easy.
1) I had to cut the original black spacer a couple of times. First I cut off just the front of it enough so the cuts would not be exposed once mounted like it is.
2) I used the silicon/plastic piece that came inside of the Griffin Powermate knob
3) I still had to use the back of the original black spacer because that is part of what locks that whole row of buttons in place. I could only cut it back to a certain point without ruining the integrity of it so I had to then cut off part of the Powermates metal "D" shaft so it was shorter.
4) I then had to grind away part of the silicon/base that I super glued to the back of the black knob because I needed the shaft to sit further into the knob. Without doing that, the black knob stuck out about 1/8 - 1/4" too far (I never actually measured anything)
5) I then superglued the back of the PCB to the black base that I mentioned in #3 and then pressed the original aluminum ring from my car over the knob and the PCB to create a sandwich (it was a perfect fit between the ring, powermate PCB, and the black base behind it).
It's hard to describe if you've never seen the spacer I'm talking about. Not many people with TTs even have since most of them came with heated seats - in which case this wouldn't have worked since those buttons are completely different internally.

They aren't very good but they may help explain what I mean... The only tools I used were a Dremel and ... Super Glue if you would call that one.
