touchscreen overlay repair?

I have a touchscreen overlay that has a small crack in the top left hand corner. The panel responds fairly well still except for the actual corner. Does anyone know of a way to repair it?

Also, this particular overlay was taken from a Crestron touchpanel. It has a flat four pin connector with green/clear wire traces leading to it from the overlay. Does anyone have any ideas on interfacing it with a PC via serial port?

As far as I know, there is no way to repair touchscreens.
Its like say, a cpu or a piece of ram, a complicated peice of electronics that is quite possibly more costly to repair then to fabricate in the first place.
I have a datalux touchscreen I myself would like to repair, and I did a bit of searching but there didnt seem to be any options. Interface is also going to be a real pain if there are no drivers... and its going to need some sort of touchscreen controller board.

I think you can repair scratches to the screen..i don't think u can repair cracks.

Can you repair scratches? hmmm, yeah, I guess it would depend on what part is scratched.. and how the touchscreen works, admitedly, touchscreen functionality is somthing that I dont know a whole great deal about... but, if the touchscreen grid itself is scratched, I would assume its unfixable... but if its say, just the glass part thats scratched, well, then there may be some filler for that, the problem is, these lcds/touchscreens are made up of a few layers typically, sometimes of different materials with different degrees of difraction (been a long time since my last physics class, straining to remember here

and in order for a scratch to be fixed, a filler must be found that reflects light the same way... or one could polish out the scratch if its not too deep, and the material its in is fairly thick.

IF I were you I would look into getting a new touchscreen from digitalww.
