Gyration ultra cordless optical suite

I just bought the Gryration ... today, it comes with the mouse and a small keyboard. For those of you who don't know or never heard of this suite, the mouse in particular, all you have to do is move the mouse around through the air to control the cursor. It also uses RF to transmit the signal so you don't have to worry about it being in line of site. They claim a range of 25'. I'll post how it works after I try it a bit. All of the reviews I read on the web were good. It was a bit pricey though at $100 but its pretty cool and ideal I think for a carputer.

I had the same setup when I first got my PC going. http://www.mp3car.com/vbulletin/show...threadid=10888 The only thing worth keeping is the keyboard. The mouse is junk. It belongs in a can that's labeld trash. The mouse is uncomfortable to use on flat surface, and in mid air. The light never shuts off so it quickly drains the battery. You cant use the mouse while it's charging. You'd get a more accurate mouse movement when you use a regular surface mouse while driving down the highway at 80MPH than trying to use the gyration mouse in mid air. For a better mouse try the A4tech rechargeable mouse. http://www.shentech.com/a4rfsoprecwi.html You can use the mouse while it's recharging. It also works with Nokia phone charger too. The only bad part about this mouse is the range is only 5 -6 feet. It isnt a big deal since it's a car install, unless you're installing the computer in the back of a suburban. Keep the keyboard though. The keyboard is the only thing thats good.
