i have 1 of these, and i can say it is one of the best accessories i have bought for my carputer, it is easy to program, once you get used to it, i have used it in a 2001 nissan primera, and i am currently installing it into my steering wheel controls of my 1997 p38 range rover. (i even bought a secondhand steering wheel with radio controls, as mine did not come with this option)

there is so much more it does than advertised, there is a mode button, so you can change the function of a button with use in different programs.

it can be used with 3 wire systems, as long as there is a common wire

I've just installed my JoyCon on my windows 7 carpc. I used an old Sony Remote I had lying around, and it was relatively easy to program.

This is the remote and my Joycon setup (the green thing with the black and white wires). I used a radio shack mini jack and some computer fan plugs. The USB cable is the only thing missing from the picture.

I got a problem though: Joycon does not let the computer go to hibernate or sleep mode. It goes to sleep/hibernate and immediately wakes up.

I tried to uncheck the ( ) allow this device to wake the computer up in the device manager; to no avail. Maybe it's the application running in the taskbar? Maybe I should try to use Xport, does that work on Windows 7? Will see...

Also, this Sony remote (Sony RM-X2S) has one or two more buttons that Joycon does not pickup with one wire, but it does with the other. I use the one that picks ups 10 buttons total, leaving some push/rotate movements aside (disc change button). So how can one connect 3 wires to Joycon to be able to use all the buttons?

Cheers,

RH.

thats it, i used a 250ohm and a 500ohm resistor though, mainly because i didn't look at the website, i connected 4 wires doing this way, so i can use all the buttons on the steering wheel (dont have cruise, so i can use them buttons to control the computer aswell).
