handwriting recognition?

i first want to mention that i did a search and i found "transcriber" was mentioned. but as far as i found out this is only available for PDA's and not for regular pc's

does anyone know a good handwriting recognition software for windows xp in conjunction with a regular touchscreen (not the ones those tablet pc's have.. so xp tablet pc edition is not an option)

with "good" i mean comfortable to use. i wouldn't mind to enter every letter seperatedly and also using palm's letters aren't a problem.. acutally something like the palm's regular handwriting-input would do fine, just for regular pc's and if possible on the whole screen (i use 640x480 pixels and have a full-screen navigation software that leaves no space for an onscreen keyboard or similar)

any ideas?

okay.. i have browsed the web for a while now and have found the folowing two systems.. i will try them out on my carputer and tell you what i think about them :-)

first there is a pretty inexpensive software: Penreader only costs $30 and supports over 20 different languages
the first problem i have already found is, that you can only turn it on and of when you right click on the icon in the system tray and then click on penreader... so it's not very comfortabel tu turn it on and of on a touchscreen (where you have to press another icon first, to get a right klick, then do you right click...

second software i have found is called PenOffice. its from the company that makes the wellknown Calligrapher software for PDA devices. with this software you can just left-klick the icon to turn it on and off..
the bad part about it is, it costs $70 because it has many many unneeded functions...

any other suggestions?
