The 25-30 ft gyration RF mini KB is norhing new. it's been around for over a year. Many members here are using this setup. The KB is great but the mouse sucks. The battery doesnt last that long. It's useless when it's charging b/c it sits on a charging cradle. The air conrtol takes a while to get use to. Overall the KB is the only thing worth buying.

If you base your opinion on one of these that you actually own, you got a bad one. I have this exact set and works wonderfully. I have used the mouse for 3+ hours straight without any dropoff with the batteries. How can you possibly use it for longer than that in a car pc anyway?

Well it's only my opinion. I had it for a month and sold it because of the mouse. Now I wish I would have kept it, at least the KB. They should have redesigned the mouse so that it's still operatible while charging. I use the mouse more often even though I have touch screen. When the mouse's battery dies, you can't use it for another 3 hours for it to partially charged. It would take 6-9 hours to fully charge the mouse and that just aint gonna cut it. The mouse doesnt sit too tightly on the charging cradle. If you make a turn, the mouse will fall off the cradle.

I saw this in a local shop on sale for £50, cut from £100.

I wish I'd bought a set now! But I didn't have the money at the time

Solutions:

Thin Velcro strip to keep the mouse in the cradle

Find a 5V-car charger to power the cradle that is only on with the accessory wiring to act as a switch so it powers down with the car.

The only problem I think I might have is if the mouse doesn't enter a sleep mode then I would have a problem.

The only solution to that problem would be to disconnect the batt after use!

If I don't have any luck I will keep the keyboard!

Yes, the mouse stays on even after you pull the charging jack.

I decided to not charge mine in the car. I take it in the house once or twice a week depending on how much I use it and how cold it is outside.

You can always charge it off the standard PC power molex. Make sure you tap into the red (5 volt line) not the yellow (12 volt line).

You can turn off the mouse only by pressing the two bottom buttons at the same time. Or what he said above, taking the batts out.
