a little info first..
at first had the 3m touchscreen (serial version) but it seen that the gps works better on serial then usb(more software option other than just delorme). now i only have 2 usb input and 1 serial so in order to use my gps in a serial i have to change the 3m touchscreen from serial to usb... so i just got my controller from touchwindows.com yesterday and today is sunday(meaning they are not working today) so my question is do the controller (usb version) need any other power connection other than just connecting the usb in... because my seriual version did need powering(9volts 500ma)... now can anyone help mw"do i need external power for the usb controller?
i'm 3 seconds away from connectin some power into it....

go for it, usb controller doesnt require any "external" power...just plug and use ;d

well it turns out the for some reason it don't work.. i try the kit with my desttop and it work but only after reboot ... if i come back from hybernation . it won't work and to get it to work i have to unplug and replug the usb...

Heh, your having the same trouble that the USB GPS guys are having. Seems that the trouble is with USB and hibernation, and not with the device. Sorry I can't help any further though.

on my loptop it work at all...i'm tried uninstalling and reintalling(several times) but it just won't work...how about the people the have the liliput products... they have usb touchscreens... and i havent hear anyone with the problem...

sometimes on laptops i have noticed that the usb doesnt fully support powering devices from it.. they just dont have enough zap.. I noticed this when trying to plug a self powered ubs2 2.1/5 drive into one, on a tosh I have it works fine, but on a compaq.. was a no go..
