any luck with voice activation

Has anyone had any luck with voice activation ? if so could you post the software (name) that you used and the microphone that you used ? thanks

hm i once tried the SDK from microsoft it was quite good but it has been quite time ago so it maybe got even better

hm no i used just a cheap microphne from my 10€ headset but if you want to use the sdk you have to write your own software its only for developers

I've been using the Plus package from MS and a cheap small mic that I can cup in my hand. Works ok. Oddly enough wind noise from open window seems to screw it up more than anything else. Once you get used to it, it works fine. I use it for the GPS as well as WMP.

I use the microsoft voice SDK for my entertainment system and in my car. On the entertainment system, I use the microphone off my webcam from across the room and recognition is incredible as long as you pronounce words well and your command library is sufficently small. In the car it's another story entirely, I'm using the andrea electronics USB array mic and it works decently when the cars not moving, much less background noise then with the webcam mic, but once you start driving and have loud road noise, you have to really yell to get it recognize anything.
