i would lkike know if your Car2PC - MBus (universal adapter) is compatible with SANYO or PANASONIC unit which use DIN8 plug.

I do not believe the adapter will work.
Which Panasonic unit do you have ? I might have working solutiong for you.

There are few IBus adaptors which allow you to use steering wheel buttons and retrieve some info about engine car etc. There is a KBus too but i don't know too much about it yet.

By the way there are 3 differently methods to play your audi thru your e39 headunit.
-casette player: put a empty casette in your casette player (You have to remove the tape to avoid noise) . Remove the audio cable. Make a simple adaptor between the car and pc with two cables and a normal small audio jack (an old headphone or pcspeakers). Plug audio cable in your audio source or pc. When you choose casette you hear your pc.
-radio: plug and easy fm transmittor in your car, save it on your radio, when you choose fm and push channel 1 you hear your pc.
-cd changer: this one is best and most common one i guess. And this is nicely explained above.0l33l

documentation says that it is compatible with SANYO and PANASONIC DISC changer.
There are two connection and a switch for choosing brand of the disk changer. See picture below

Hi Guys... Any News about the Pioneer IP-Bus-Adapter? Has been said more than a half year that it will come. Does it or doesn't it?

I am also interrested in Pioneer IP BUS one...

JBORS, do you think it will be compatible with the front end CENTRAFUSE via a plugin or else ?
Have you ever contact Centrafuse programmer for asking ??? would be great if it was...


And You haven't answer me more about the compatibility of your adaptor ith the unit above; it plays both PANASONIC and SANYO CD changer. Just have to select brand via a swich...So do you think you have a solution?

Pioneer adapter is compatible with RR now. If anyone will do the Centrafuse support, it will work also...
As of Panasonic, I have a simple adapter for emulating Panasonic CD changer but never got it done in full. I can share all source codes I have+ send you PCB board so you can play with it if you can/want.
