Hi have a 1999 Jaguar, the HU is OEM but i believe is Alpine based and there is an Ai-NET cable going to the CD Changer in the rear. I also understand that the HU's are locked down in someway so you need to use Jag branded parts. What i want to be able to do is play around with the input to the CD changer so that i can use the CD controls to control the CarPC. I have read through this thread and from what i can gather an AI-NET interface is still being developed, but when/If it comes out just how much access to the AI-NET protocol would it give (ie. would i be able to fool the OEM HU that it
is seeing its own cd changer when in fact it's intefacing to something else?
Also if any one has a description of the AI-NET protocol I would love to know what the messaging is so i can have a go at building this myself, or at least being able to pull up the protocol on my PC screen.
Also I was wondering if i could use Joergs cct design for the MBus interface to look at the AI-NET signals?
