Emulate Alpine Changer or Ipod

Hi.

I am looking to emulate an Alpine MP3 CD changer or an Ipod on the Alpine AiNet technology with my car-pc. Has anyone come accross some information about AiNet and how it works? Has anyone attempted something like this before?

I am interested in doing some software development to get this to work.

Thanks.

search the forums for Ainet. there is ipod hardware that plug into your cd changer on your car's head unit, it makes it so you can control your ipod from the stereo of steering wheel controls. here's one for example

I dont think you quite understand what I am trying to do.

Basically I want to do the same thing as this thread: http://www.mp3car.com/vbulletin/input-devices/29505-emulate-blaupunkt-changer.html but with my Alpine 9815 headunit.

Alpine offer an Ipod and an Ai-Net cable to run to external devices which will display track information and allow the headunit to control them. I wish to somehow hack the Ai-Net or Ipod interfaces to allow my headunit to control my carpc.

Yes I have ed

I'm searching too for that device, i want to buy the new Alpine CDA-9855R in march. But I don't want to buy an Ipod for 400 € with only 40 GB ! I think it's a better way to build a little pc in the car use a 2,5 laptop hdd with 80 Gb and perhaps you could also see movies in the car. But thats the problem how i could connect the pc over Ai-Net to my Alpine? I want to use the functions like directories, search, trackname.... The Alpine must control the audio function of my pc....
